Where’s the beef:

Not everyone is enjoying the turn that vegetarian “meat” is going. There are a few companies that are using advanced techniques to create “fake meat” – a plant-based burger that actually tastes like beef. Huh?

These companies, like Beyond Meat, are packaging their “meat” with the word beef on the product. Cattle ranchers are in protest because anything labeled beef should actually come completely from cattle.

Vegetarian or not, most people like the taste of a good hamburger. Though these products aren’t set to threaten the beef industry, more than 60 percent of Americans claim to be cutting down on meat products. So long carnivores. At least we still have real milkshakes and fries.

5 things to know about sanctions with NK:4189143639_166c553767_o

Last week Donald Trump announced new sanctions on North Korea, a.k.a “the heaviest sanctions ever”. Remember, the U.S. and North Korea get into spats pretty often, kind of like Mean Girls. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Sanctions target illicit activities within trade.
  2. A global shipping advisory was set in place – if you help North Korea, you’re in trouble.
  3. Russia is not included for once.
  4. Olympics did not do much to thaw the ice.
  5. Trump is still rambling on threatening military action.

Ronda gets rowdy:9425678648_1ac9252e69_o.jpg

Yesterday marks the first day of Ronda Rousey‘s first day at her new job at WWE.  Ronda is known for being pretty strong – she is the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, of course.

Her strength came into play when she slammed her boss into a table while signing to WWE. Talk about a bit of a temper. Apparently, Ronda’s boss’ wife had previously said that “even she could take her”.

Don’t poke the bear unless you want to be thrown – or your husband to be thrown – into a table.
